Our core competence – Business Intelligence
Business Intelligence (BI) is the sum of all activities in organizations that serve to obtain and implement data-supported decisions. The possible use cases are as varied as the decisions that are made in organisations in different industries and in different business areas. They can range from simple data preparation for exploratory data analysis in Excel to the calculation and disclosure of regulatory key figures for authorities to automated decision implementation based on predictive analytics. The maturity levels of business intelligence vary greatly.

What all organisations have in common, however, is that they cannot remain competitive in the medium term without the ability to make data-based decisions and that this process always begins with the collection and processing of data. The quality of a decision is directly dependent on the availability of current and historical data of a consistently high quality. Data architecture and data management play a key role here and make up around 80% of every business intelligence project.
The analysis and visualisation of available historical data is only the first step in gaining transparency, which can be continued using analytics methods to identify trends, patterns and correlations. This pattern recognition can then be used in predictive models to influence the future in the form of proactive decisions and to help identify new opportunities and optimise processes in a constantly changing market environment.
Measures for customer loyalty and customer acquisition through personalised approaches and offers, the identification of possible cases of fraud or the proactive maintenance of machines are just some of the possible use cases for business intelligence.
